Cute, but...

The New York Mayor tries to cut off mob guns. This makes him BFFs with the mob? Something's wrong with this narrative.

The Prohibitionists that tried to cut off mob alcohol ending up being BFFs with the mob, in results if not if in intentions. The Drug Warriors that try to cut off drug dealers' and drug cartels' drugs end up creating the huge illegal profits and violence associated with the drug trade.

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

Still doesn't make sense. The ad is claiming that Bloomberg tried to shut down easy access to mob guns by trying to restrict gun access in Virginia.

The mob wants the guns, so the mob shouldn't want these restrictions or be supportive of Bloomberg. They wouldn't care about him getting "disrespected" since he's their enemy. The idea that he's cronies with "the mob", the same people he's trying to put out of business, is asinine.

If you follow the logic of this ad, its basically saying "vote for McDonnell, the Gangster's choice".
